As an Application Maintenance Engineer you will be part of a team responsible for maintaining and supporting applications, ensuring stability and performance. The role involves incident resolution, change implementation, automation, and monitoring across technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Unix shell scripting, and containerised environments.

In this role you will play a key role in:

Maintain and support applications, ensuring availability and adherence to SLAs.

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents; perform root cause analysis and implement fixes. Automate routine maintenance tasks using scripts and tools.

Apply changes and releases safely across Unix/Linux environments.

Set up monitoring and dashboards for proactive issue detection. Participate in extended hours/on call support rotation when required.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of experience in application maintenance or production support.

Strong skills in Java, Perl, and Unix/Linux scripting. Working knowledge of JavaScript for minor fixes or enhancements.

Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana) and log analysis. Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change). Familiarity with Docker and container basics.

Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
