Description
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 5 years’ experience in Information Management, database design/administration. Moreover, we also expect the following. Required Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology, or related field. A Master’s Degree is an added advantage Proficiency in data collection platforms (Kobo Toolbox, ODK, Survey, CTO, CommCare). Expertise in data analysis tools and packages such as Excel, Access, SPSS, Power BI, NVIVO, & Atlas.ti. Hands-on of mapping tools such as GIS and other spatial analysis tools. Ability to train and build capacity of team /other on IM systems. Knowledge in quantitative and qualitative research approaches. Information System Development and Management: Lead the design, development, and implementation of information management systems, ensuring they meet DRC's data collection, capture, analysis and reporting needs across all projects and sectors. Translate program logical frameworks, indicators, and donor requirements into structured data systems and workflows including development of tools, templates and database in the IMS Define data flows, user roles, access controls, and system architecture for both online and offline environments. Maintain and regularly update DRC's information systems and ensure interoperability between tools (e.g., Kobo, Power BI, Excel, central databases). Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting: Design advanced digital data collection tools both online and offline including: complex skip logic, constraints, validation rules, and preloaded datasets (e.g., beneficiary lists) Pilot, test and refine digital data collection tools before deployment to field teams and troubleshoot data collection issues in real-time during field exercises. Manage server configurations, form deployment and user permissions of the information management system (s) Conduct descriptive, inferential and trends analysis to support project performance indicator monitoring. Work closely with the Area MEAL Team, Technical and Implementation team, to ensure design and implementation of robust data analysis frameworks for surveys, assessments, evaluations, and monitoring results, ensuring high-quality insights that inform program performance and strategic decision-making. Capacity Building and Support: Develop structured training plans for staff on the information management system navigation, digital data collection tools, data quality standards, analysis and visualization. Provide ongoing hands-on technical backstopping support to program, technical and implementation teams and MEAL team on information management processes, systems and tools ensuring they can effectively collect and manage program data. Assess and build IM capacity of local partners. Act as the internal technical lead on all IM-related issues.
