Description
Qualifications Minimum of Bachelors in Agriculture or Agribusiness or Business studies or Development studies or any other relevant discipline. Broad knowledge and understanding of resilience and self-reliance interventions like vocational training, Entrepreneurship, Miro finance and financial inclusion, Climate Smart Agriculture and strong business development skills. At least three years’ experience working with vulnerable communities and familiarity with humanitarian programming and implementation. Proven facilitation skills and experience in delivering technical trainings for various categories of participants. Technical skills: academic and/or direct programming experience and expertise in at least three of the following thematic areas is required: food security and nutrition, financial inclusion, cash transfer, sustainable agriculture, vocational skilling, business skills development. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in field-based project management roles working in resilience and livelihood with International NGOs or local government. Effective Implementation and sustainability of interventions Develop annual project activity plans and update quarterly in collaboration with key departments, oversee implementation to high standards by scope and timelines. Participate in participant targeting processes in collaboration with the TAs coaching, monitoring and evaluation. Participate in and support the design and implementation of varying Activity studies within the livelihoods technical area. Stakeholders engagement and collaboration Maintain good coordination and working relationships with OPM, UNHCR, Humanitarian Actors, and district leaders. Participate in stakeholder joint engagements, planning meetings, livelihood and environment sector working groups, monthly coordination meetings, workshops and other forums. Engage with and follow up relevant market actors with whom the Activity is collaborating under specific deal notes in collaboration with the market systems development TA. Linkage, networking, collaboration and mentorship Work with relevant agencies, institutions and individuals to promote resilience and self-reliance for graduation of participants. Network and link with other organizations and projects implementing economic inclusion and livelihoods and bring these to the attention of the relevant TA. Identify and map market actors for apprenticeship training in collaboration with the market systems development TA within specific identified trades and or value chains. Participate in technical working group coordination meetings and initiatives related to livelihoods. Documentation, Reporting and Knowledge Management Compile and submit activity reports and support preparation of quality weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports, and special reports.
