Key Responsibilities Reports to: Program Coordinator Key Result Areas Project Implementation. Work closely with the different pillars of the SRM Activity and departments to design and undertake operational research to ensure robust evidence-based data for the design of SBCC strategy. Liaise with key units to design SBCC strategy to ensure tangible change among target beneficiaries under the SRM Programming across board In liaison with project participants and departments like the Livelihoods and environment, MEAL develop key SBCC activities and design communication for development (C4D) and messaging content. Ensure the design, development, execution and evaluation of effective SBCC capacity strengthening activities to both the Project staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders within the areas of operation. Jointly plan and train key program stakeholders including community structures (CBFs, VHTs, Care groups CMC's, FMC's, Ushers, Porters, Scoopers and RWC's), health workers and religious and traditional leaders to disseminate messages and engage communities in key SBCC activities. Share new knowledge and best practices in SBCC and contribute to the knowledge base through participation in local, regional and global partner and technical networks, scientific forums and other knowledge-sharing platforms. Conduct qualitative surveys to track and assess reach and effectiveness of messages in achieving the program objectives. Support public relations and appreciation to the component on social behaviour change communication in regards to livelihoods programming, and gender roles community expectations Train and strengthen capacity of WVU project staff, mainstream project partners, Community based facilitators, volunteers and community structure on gender and disability inclusion in food programming. Capacity building of programme staff, community structures and co-partner that WV will work with due to the Grand bargain (localization agenda) and key stakeholders on protection, and Gender, Adult and child safe guarding, PSEA. Responsible for delivery of gender equality and social inclusion training to project staff Provide technical support and mentorship to the Protection and Gender Assistant and the Co-Partner staff to enhance their knowledge on implementation of all gender, protection and disability inclusion activities within the program. Develop and facilitate gender, protection and disability inclusion components in training materials, distribution messages, dissemination meetings and other project tools and resources including PDM and other assessment tools.
