Manager Cyber Security

Oversees cybersecurity operations, including: team leadership, incident response, policy development, risk management and security operations. Education and Professional Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related area from a recognized University Master’s Degree in an IT related area (Desirable) Five (5) years’ experience in managing design, development and delivery cybersecurity operations in a large financial institution or a reputable organization of which 3 years must have been at leadership position experience is an added advantage Required Experience and Competences: Knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans Ability to understand and assess technology systems and applications from both a technical and business function perspective Understanding of information security principles and best practices (e.g., ISO27001/2022, COBIT, NIST, PCI DSS and ISF Standards of Good Practice for Information Security). Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyse security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls Knowledge of industry best practices regarding digitalization and automation of banking services. Knowledge and experience of UNIX Operating Systems, Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Virtualization technologies, Intrusion Prevention & Detection systems and advanced enterprise networks (LANs & WANs)
