Arts Project Manager

Description

Qualifications: Degree or HE qualification in relevant cultural, heritage, or humanities or project management field or equivalent experience. Experience of working in Arts sector; Strong organisational skills and attention to detail; Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines. Experience of managing projects from start to finish and familiarity with project life-cycles. Understanding of procurement, evaluation and reporting requirements of projects. Proven experience of managing project finances. Experience of managing stakeholders Project management qualification desirable. Experience of working in project or programme management. Experience of using technology in project delivery. Good understanding and experience of supporting monitoring and evaluation. Relationship & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain relationships with delivery partners, grantees, and stakeholders to procure services and ensure contract compliance. Foster strong internal networks. Commercial and Financial Management Oversee financial planning, ensuring alignment with British Council and client financial year plans. Conduct accurate monthly forecasting using SAP, monitor expenditure, ensure compliance with financial policies, and address variances. Project Management Develop and deliver project management plans, identifying and mitigating risks with the Programme Manager. Manage procurement, contracting, compliance, and reporting. Oversee data management, including timely entry, quality assurance, basic analysis, and progress reporting to meet internal and external funding requirements.
