Stock or inventory Accountant

JOB LOCATION: MITYANA MUNICIPALITY Key roles and responsibilities • Stock Monitoring and Reconciliation: Conducting regular physical stock counts (cycle counts) and reconciling them with the Aronium system/general ledger. Investigating discrepancies between physical stock and system records. • Inventory Valuation and Reporting: Preparing monthly stock valuation reports, calculating the cost of goods sold (COGS), and analyzing inventory turnover. • Stock Management Procedures: Ensuring the accurate recording of stock, including purchases, transfers, and sales. • Control and Compliance: Overseeing the disposal of damaged, obsolete, or returned stock. Ensuring compliance with internal control policies to prevent theft or mismanagement. Requirements, skills, and knowledge • Ability to prepare monthly and end of year income statement & balance sheet • Must be able to multitask XXXX XXXX on any other assignment • Must be senior six and above with experience of not less than a year • Must be between 25-35 years of age and must have original academic documents and a valid identity card.
