Duty Stations: Karamoja Region (Moroto/Napak), with periodic travel. Reports To : Programs Manager Duration : 9 months, renewable based on performance and availability of funds. Application Deadline : Friday, Feb 27, 2026, by 5:00 PM (EAT) Job Summary The Project Coordinator will provide overall leadership, coordination, and oversight of the project's implementation. The role involves managing project planning, implementation, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and field team supervision to ensure high-quality delivery of maternal and newborn health interventions and compliance with the district and RIWE-AFRICA requirements. The coordinator will work closely with District Health Teams, health facilities, VHT-Mentor Mothers, research personnel, and RIWE_AFRICA’s management team to ensure effective, ethical, and district-aligned implementation. Key Responsibilities and Duties Provide overall coordination and day-to-day leadership for project implementation in Moroto and Napak Districts. Ensure activities are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with agreed objectives and district priorities. Lead project planning, budgeting, and implementation processes in accordance with approved work plans, timelines, and RIWE_AFRICA operational and donor requirements. Coordinate engagement with District Local Governments, District Health Teams, and participating health facilities to ensure effective collaboration, alignment, and ownership of project activities. Supervise and provide technical and administrative support to the project field structure, consultants, and field teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and adherence to agreed standards. Ensure effective integration of community-based and facility-based interventions, including the functionality of referral and feedback mechanisms linking communities and health facilities. Oversee routine project monitoring, documentation, and reporting in close collaboration with the Monitoring & Evaluation and Research teams to support learning and accountability. Ensure all project activities comply with ethical standards, safeguarding principles, and applicable national health and research guidelines and approvals. Identify project risks, implementation challenges, and emerging issues, and support adaptive responses in collaboration with district stakeholders and RIWE_AFRICA management. Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories to support internal learning, dissemination, and evidence-informed decision-making. Perform any other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Supervisor in support of project objectives and organizational priorities. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Bachelor’s degree in public health, Nursing, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Project Planning and Management, Public Health, or a related field is an added advantage. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience managing donor-funded health
