We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Branch Manager to independently manage and lead the full operations of a retail supermarket branch. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, commercially driven, and capable of ensuring smooth daily operations, strong sales performance, and excellent customer service standards. Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Commerce, or related field 8+ years’ experience in retail/supermarket management Proven experience handling full branch/store operations independently Strong leadership and people management skills Good financial acumen and reporting ability Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Willingness to relocate to Uganda Key Duties & Responsibilities - Branch Operations Management Oversee complete day-to-day supermarket operations Ensure smooth functioning of all departments (sales floor, warehouse, cashiering, fresh/food sections) Maintain store standards, hygiene, and compliance with company policies Sales & Business Performance Drive sales growth and achieve monthly/annual revenue targets Monitor KPIs, margins, shrinkage, and operational costs Implement promotional activities and merchandising strategies to boost sales Inventory & Stock Control Manage stock planning, ordering, and replenishment Minimize stock losses, damages, and expiries Ensure accurate stock counts and proper inventory records Team Leadership Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate store staff Prepare duty rosters and manage staff performance Foster a positive and productive work environment Customer Service Ensure excellent customer experience and service standards Handle escalated customer complaints professionally Build strong customer relationships and local market presence Financial & Administrative Control Manage daily cash handling, reconciliations, and reporting Control expenses and ensure profitability of the branch Submit timely operational and financial reports to management Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and local regulations Maintain health, safety, and security standards
