Reports To : Director. Days of Duty : 5 days/ week, occasional holiday work, overtime, and overseas business trips. Working Hours: 09:00-17:00. Duty Station : Kokorojuku, Yesu Amala, Nansana, Wakiso District. Start Date: April 1st, 2026 (Earlier starts also considered). Initial 1-year contract with a 3-month probationary period. Benefits: Salary : Commensurate with experience. Health Insurance : provided. Annual Bonus: Performance-related. Training support: All staff receive investment towards their professional development. Holiday Allowance : 21 days per annum (pro-rata, in addition to public holidays). Statutory Deductions: PAYE, Local Tax, NSSF. Job Description: The Human Resource & Administrative Officer is responsible for managing Human Resource functions and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations within the organization. He/She is expected to be engaged in administrative and Student support duties in collaboration with other staff. The Human Resource & Administrative Officer is expected to support all human resource & administrative tasks under the supervision of the Director. The general contents are as follows.
- Administrative Coordination a. To ensure the smooth running of the office from an administrative point of view. This includes all jobs related to the facilitation and operational efficiency of Kokorojuku. b. To work with external service providers. c. Act as the first line of support for administrative tasks for all staff (including the camp team) when required. d. To lead on all administrative strategies and ensure all goals and outputs are being worked towards. e. To proactively work on improving the administration function.
- Human Resource roles. a. Act as line supervisor to all Operations staff. b. Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews. Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and conducting orientation sessions. c. Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee records in databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Track employee attendance, leave requests, and performance evaluations. d. Policy Implementation: Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. Ensure that all employees are informed of company policies and adhere to them. e. Training Coordination: Organize and coordinate training sessions for employees, including scheduling trainers and preparing training materials. Monitor training attendance and gather feedback to improve future programs. f. Employee Relations: Serve as a liaison between employees and management, addressing employee concerns and facilitating conflict resolution. Promote a positive work environment by encouraging open communication and employee engagement.
