Associate BI Analyst

BettingJobs is thrilled to collaborate with our client, a prominent online bookmaker known for transforming the sports betting and gaming industry, in their search for an Associate Business Intelligence Analystto join their team in Malta. Key Responsibilities:

• Build automated, interactive reports and analytical products using SQL, Power BI, and modern analytics tools
• Apply AI-assisted workflows (e.g. SQL/coding copilots, Python/R, forecasting, anomaly detection, automation) in analysis and reporting
• Stay current with AI capabilities and support embedding AI into analytics processes (e.g. validation, alerts, self-service reporting, insight generation)
• Execute reporting and analytical tasks as directed, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Manage tasks independently, delivering work on time and using time efficiently
• Flag issues, data quality concerns, or blockers proactively
• Balance guided work with increasing independent problem-solving
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and business questions
• Translate data into clear, reliable insights for business users
• Support forecasting, modelling, and performance tracking
• Assist in automating recurring reports and processes
• Perform data validation and quality checks
• Document data definitions, reporting logic, and processes Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance)
• Solid foundation in SQL and relational databases
• Exposure to data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
• Familiarity with analytics automation, AI-assisted tools, and modern data practices
• Interest in sports, gaming, or digital products is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to learn new tools and methodologies
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English
