Acquisition Specialist

BettingJobs is thrilled to collaborate with our client, a prominent online bookmaker known for transforming the sports betting and gaming industry, in their search for an Acquisition Specialist to join their team based remotely in CIS region. Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute unconventional acquisition strategies targeting bettors in Russia and CIS, focusing on sharp players, high-volume VIPs, and value-driven users.
• Build and maintain partnerships with arbitrage-focused affiliates, tipsters, betting communities, crypto websites, and forums across Telegram, Discord and others.
• Grow local social media presence using crypto- and betting-friendly platforms and guerilla methods to bypass mainstream ad restrictions.
• Identify and collaborate with unofficial influencers (VK, gambling YouTubers, Twitter/X accounts, Telegram opinion leaders).
• Organize and run guerilla promos, community activations, and loyalty initiatives to retain high-value traffic acquired through grey-market funnels.
• Monitor and optimize campaigns based on conversion, LTV, and ROAS, working closely with CRM and BI teams.
• Stay on top of local competitor activity, user trends, and crypto adoption patterns to inform acquisition tactics.
• Ensure bonus abuse, and fraud risks are mitigated during acquisition, in collaboration with Risk and Payments teams.
• Provide weekly reporting on user acquisition performance, market insights, and test campaign outcomes Requirements:
• Deep understanding of grey-hat acquisition in restricted or unregulated markets and understanding of user acquisition funnels for main acquisition channels.
• Strong connections or familiarity with Telegram/Discord influencers, Russian arbitrage networks, and betting forums.
• Ability to launch and scale social-led and content-based acquisition for sports betting brands without local license.
• Creative thinker with a “hacker” mindset — ability to find cracks and leverage them within the market landscape.
• Comfortable navigating crypto-based onboarding funnels, including wallets, conversions, and tokens.
• Proficient in tools such as UTM tracking, analytics platforms, affiliate software. Knowledge in black-hat media buying in Russia is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written Russian.
• 3+ year’s experience in user acquisition for sportsbooks or high-risk verticals (crypto, forex, betting, etc.)
• Proven success in growing user bases via non-traditional marketing channels, particularly in Russia/CIS grey markets.
• Strong grasp of customer journeys, and the ability to test and own the journey up until first time deposit.
• Experience working with or managing high-value arbitrage and value-betting affiliates.
• Good understanding of crypto adoption and user behaviour in Russia and surrounding markets.
• Familiarity with sharp betting concepts, low-margin pricing, VIP incentives, and the psychology of high-stakes players.
