Fraud Operations Manager

BettingJobsis working with an iGaming operator. They are looking for aFraud Operations Manager to join their team based in New York. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement fraud detection strategies across user onboarding, payments, marketplace activity, and casino gameplay.
• Monitor fraud trends including payment fraud, account takeover, bonus abuse, collusion, and multi-accounting.
• Develop operational workflows for fraud review, escalation, and resolution.
• Build and manage fraud operations processes including manual review queues, investigation frameworks, and case management.
• Lead and mentor fraud analysts as the team grows.
• Define SLAs and performance metrics for fraud detection and response.
• Conduct and oversee investigations into complex fraud rings and abuse patterns.
• Analyse transaction data, behavioural signals, and gameplay activity to detect suspicious behaviour.
• Coordinate with payment providers and external partners on chargebacks and fraud disputes.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to design fraud-resistant systems and controls.
• Help shape identity verification, transaction monitoring, and gameplay integrity tools.
• Provide input into risk scoring models and fraud detection rules.
• Develop controls to mitigate risks related to casino products, including bonus abuse, collusion, and chip dumping.
• Ensure fraud controls align with gambling regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Produce regular reporting on fraud metrics, trends, and operational performance.
• Provide actionable insights to leadership on emerging fraud risks. Requirements:
• 5+ years experience in fraud operations, trust & safety, payments risk, or financial crime.
• Experience working in online gaming, gambling, fintech, marketplaces, or digital assets.
• Strong understanding of fraud vectors including:
• Payment fraud & chargebacks
• Account takeovers
• Bonus abuse
• Multi-accounting
• Marketplace manipulation
• Experience working with fraud detection tools, case management systems, and payment providers.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with transaction data.
