Product Owner

BettingJobs is currently seeking an experienced Product Owner for a rapidly growing iGaming company in their Malta office. This role is well-suited to a product professional with experience in the online gaming industry. You should have a proven track record of working with third parties to integrate tools and products, with specific experience in fraud detection tools being a significant advantage. Responsibilities:

• Define and own the product vision and roadmap.
• Align the tooling roadmap with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and fraud risk mitigation strategies.
• Champion scalability and resilience of systems to support multi-brand expansion and evolving fraud typologies.
• Quantify the business impact of product improvements.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery with engineering, data science, and compliance teams to ensure timely releases and adoption.
• Monitor tool performance and usage to inform iterative improvements.
• Translate operational pain points into actionable backlog items and detailed feature specifications. Requirements:
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to work alongside other fraud teams where workflows overlap.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, ideally focusing on risk, fraud, or compliance tooling.
• Strong understanding of fraud detection, bonus abuse, collusion, and regulatory requirements within iGaming or financial services.
• Ability to work with engineering teams on system integrations, APIs, and workflow automation.
• Skilled in aligning diverse stakeholders and tailoring messaging for executives, compliance teams, and operational analysts.
• Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including interpreting fraud metrics, operational KPIs, and financial impact.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
• A pragmatic approach to closing loopholes, reducing manual strain, and ensuring scalable solutions.
