Infrastructure Engineer

BettingJobs is currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer based in Malta for a leading operator. Responsibilities:

• Work with multiple teams to design, implement, optimise, and maintain solutions
• Update existing documentation and create new documentation when required
• Manage and configure infrastructure services spanning multiple Datacentres
• Innovate and automate processes where possible
• Perform BAU tasks such as firewall rule management, backups, VM builds, patching, and technical troubleshooting
• Lead and/or support projects impacting the business
• Address vulnerabilities reported by external penetration testing partners
• Attend SOC meetings.
• Act on alerts raised by our Firstline Team and monitoring systems.
• When required work after normal business hours (maintenance)
• Part of the on-call rota (Mon-sun) Requirements:
• 4+ years in a similar role; 5+ years in enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure
• Experience with hypervisors (VMware, Proxmox) and Windows Server (2019, 2022)
• Solid networking knowledge (ACL, NAT, VPN)
• Backup solutions and enterprise storage (Dell EMC Unity, HPE Nimble, Dell PowerStore)
• Server hardware setup & management (installation, configuration, iLO, iDRAC)
• Active Directory and Office 365 administration
• Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, methodical, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to manage projects end-to-end and deliver high-quality results
• Self-motivated, accountable, and eager to learn new technologies Nice to have:

• Intune
• Monitoring systems (Vrops, Grafana, Nagios)
• Firewalls (Cisco, Meraki)

• Linux Systems Administration (Debian, Ubuntu)
