Tooling Product Owner

Description

BettingJobs is seeking a Tooling Product Owner for a forwarding thinking iGaming company in their San Joséoffice.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the product vision for risk and fraud tooling across all brands and verticals.

  • Align the tooling roadmap with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and fraud mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure systems are scalable and resilient to support multi-brand growth and evolving fraud typologies.

  • Quantify business impact of tooling improvements, linking fraud prevention to NGR protection and commercial value.

  • Partner with engineering, data science, and compliance to deliver solutions on time and at scale.

  • Gather, prioritize, and translate requirements from analysts, investigators, and executives into actionable backlogs and specifications.

  • Monitor tooling adoption, usage, and performance to drive continuous improvement.

  • Implement feedback loops to refine workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve investigator efficiency.

  • Oversee integrations with detection models, anomaly scoring, reporting pipelines, and automation (e.g., RPA).

  • Contribute to system architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work across overlapping fraud and risk teams.

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, ideally within risk, fraud, or compliance tooling.

  • Strong understanding of fraud detection, bonus abuse, collusion, and regulatory requirements (iGaming or financial services preferred).

  • Experience working with engineering on integrations, APIs, and workflow automation.

  • Ability to align diverse stakeholders through clear communication and prioritization.

  • Demonstrated success translating operational pain points into scalable product solutions.

  • Strong roadmap ownership balancing risk mitigation, compliance, and commercial objectives.

  • Data-driven decision-maker, comfortable with fraud metrics, KPIs, and financial impact.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery and backlog management.

  • Pragmatic, outcome-focused approach to closing loopholes and reducing manual strain.
