Country Manager - Italy

BettingJobs is working with a leading iGaming company, who are currently looking to add a Country Manager - Italy to their team in Malta. Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the local market strategy, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
- Continuously monitor competitive positioning, market trends, and regulatory changes, adapting strategy and tactics accordingly.
- Develop and oversee the commercial and product offering for the Italian market to drive growth and market penetration.
- Work with marketing teams to define and implement a marketing and brand strategy with an optimal media mix to maximize player acquisition while ensuring a healthy ROI.
- Expand market reach through affiliate partnerships and strategic distribution initiatives.
- Oversee all above-the-line marketing activities and manage commercial and contractual relationships with local media, PR, and creative agencies.
- Develop and implement operational and tactical plans in collaboration with Central Service Departments, ensuring strong financial controls and adherence to performance standards.
- Manage annual budget planning, monthly business reviews, and revenue forecasting, optimizing financial performance.
- Monitor and analyse financial results against business plans, adjusting strategies as needed and reporting to Senior Management.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to gain insights into player behaviour and market-specific trends, ensuring continuous strategy refinement.
- Work closely with the Product team to enhance the full player journey, implementing continuous improvement initiatives that drive acquisition, conversion, onboarding, retention, and player lifetime value.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across departments.
- Work with all stakeholders to optimize synergies and drive efficiency.
- Establish and oversee additional market-specific operational processes, reporting, and analytics to support decision-making. Requirements:
- Experience in a senior leadership role within the iGaming/ Online Casino Industry.
- Expertise in digital marketing, player acquisition, and retention strategies
- Deep expertise and proven experience in navigating and operating within the Italian market, including regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, take swift action, and drive change to meet goals and targets.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with experience working with regulators, affiliates, and business partners
- Deep commercial acumen with a strategic mindset.
- Skilled in building, fostering, and maintaining highly productive working relationships.
- A proactive leader who leads by example and takes initiative.
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Proficient in Italian and English with excellent communication skills.
