About the Assignment

You will help modernize a finance-critical claims payment flow in the automotive industry. A key capability is being separated from a monolith into a dedicated financial product that calculates dealer payouts, generates payment and specification documents, and connects to finance, archiving, and EDI platforms across multiple markets.

The solution is built for secure, restartable, and audit-friendly processing, with support for resends, document download APIs, and status publication. You will work in an in-house product environment with modern Java microservices, Azure services, and a strong DevSecOps mindset. Job Description

• You will design and build Java Spring Boot microservices in a clear hexagonal architecture.
• You will develop event-driven flows for claim cost handling, dealer payout calculations, and status publishing.
• You will integrate the solution with external finance, document archiving, and EDI platforms.
• You will work with Azure services such as Event Hub, Storage, and Cosmos DB to support scalable and reliable processing.
• You will strengthen CI/CD and DevSecOps practices through Azure Pipelines, container-based deployments, and security tooling.
• You will help ensure secure communication through MQ integrations with mutual TLS.
• You will contribute to monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational stability in a distributed environment.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid background in microservice design and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with Azure, including services such as Event Hub, Storage, and Cosmos DB.
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cosmos DB.
• Experience with container platforms and containerization, including OpenShift and Docker.
• Experience with MQ-based integrations and secure communication using mutual TLS.

Nice to have

• Experience with Liquibase.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with Kafka or a similar streaming solution.
• Experience with security tooling such as Sonar, SCA, SAST, and DAST.
• Experience with monitoring in Splunk.
• Experience from finance-related integrations, such as SAP.
