About the Assignment

You will join a collaborative tooling and fixture design team that supports the development, design, and manufacturing of new production equipment for cab production in the automotive industry. The team consists of around 10 designers with varied experience, giving you strong opportunities to share knowledge, learn from others, and contribute with your own expertise.

The assignment is focused mainly on assembly fixture design for workshop environments. You may also contribute to solutions for other production areas such as logistics, press, body, and paint. You will work closely with production, engineering, and other stakeholders to create practical, efficient, and well-functioning mechanical solutions.

Job Description

• Design and develop mechanical solutions for production equipment, with a primary focus on assembly fixtures.
• Support assembly workshops with fixture design, updates, and improvements.
• Contribute to design work for other production areas, including logistics, press, body, and paint.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure functional and efficient solutions.
• Work in Catia V5 and manage design data in Enovia.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with Catia V5.
• Understanding of PLM systems.
• Ability to design production equipment or fixtures.
• Fluent communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Enovia.
• Experience from automotive or heavy industry.
• Experience in fixture design for assembly lines.
• Knowledge of production processes within manufacturing.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in industrial environments.
