HW Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Senior HW Systems Engineer for a long-term consulting assignment with a client in Järfälla (moving to Solna. The assignment starts immediately and is primarily on-site. You will work in a technically advanced environment and take part in the development of one of the client’s Electronic Warfare (EW) systems based on the Arexis architecture.

You will join a project in an exciting phase where the first prototypes are being produced to validate design concepts and provide feedback to product versions that will enter formal verification and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering activities with focus on HW integration and testing of the main unit controlling the EW system
• Support general systems engineering work, including requirements updates and definition of test cases for formal verification and production testing
• Support HW prototype integration and testing
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and support debugging activities
• Gather feedback from testing and provide input to design improvements and requirements updates
• Support HW verification and qualification activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional development teams and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Civil or university engineering degree in electronics, technical physics, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience working as a Systems Engineer in industries such as defense, rail, radio communications, med-tech, or similar
• Strong experience in systems engineering processes and requirements management
• Experience in product development with focus on hardware development
• Experience with hardware integration and testing
• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured but flexible way of working
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• Experience with RF and microwave technologies
• Experience working in highly regulated or safety-critical environments
