Building Plans Automation

Description

I need to build a multifaceted platform for building plans. I want to be able to create mechanical electrical plumbing plans on top of our architectural sandwiches provide to meet Florida building codes and NEC.

The “Architectural GPT” Pipeline Overview To build our own automated agent, we will string together three distinct layers:

The “Eyes” (Vision API): Instead of training a model from scratch, we can send your floor plan images directly to a pre-trained multimodal AI (like OpenAI’s GPT-4o or Claude 3.5 Sonnet). These models already know what a door, wall, and toilet look like out of the box!

The “Brain” (LLM + RAG): We will load the FBC (Florida Building Code) and NEC (National Electrical Code) documents into a vector database. The AI will cross-reference the rooms it “saw” with the rulebook (e.g., “I see a bathroom. The NEC requires a GFCI outlet within 3 feet of the sink.”).

The “Hands” (Routing Algorithm): We take the decisions made by the Brain and use standard pathfinding code (like A* algorithms) to draw the actual MEP lines onto the blueprint.
