Senior Full-Stack Engineer / Technical Lead WW-FT

Role Overview

Join a high-growth B Corporation SaaS platform as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer / Technical Lead. Our platform empowers creator and influencer programs for Fortune 500 beauty and CPG brands by managing complex multi-channel workflows, including social media campaign orchestration, email automation, and global fulfillment coordination. As the senior technical leader, you will drive a platform-wide engineering evolution, assess the entire platform, define the target architecture, and implement AI-augmented development practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of the codebase and architecture, covering the Python backend, React frontend, data pipeline, and integration layer.
• Evaluate infrastructure and DevOps practices, focusing on CI/CD maturity, monitoring gaps, deployment reliability, and security posture.
• Perform an integration health check for APIs such as Meta Graph API, TikTok, SendGrid, and social listening providers.
• Assess team capabilities, including skills and knowledge dependencies, and provide retention recommendations.
• Deliver a detailed Current State Report with a component-by-component decision matrix.
• Define and execute a target architecture based on assessment findings.
• Implement AI-augmented development workflows, including tools like Claude Code, Copilot, and AI-assisted code review.
• Lead the hiring process for a permanent engineering team.
• Establish modern engineering practices, including proper CI/CD, automated testing, and documentation-as-code.
• Own the technical roadmap and coordinate with the commercial team on delivery timelines.
• Manage team transitions, retain strong performers, upskill adaptable members, and support transitions for others.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in transforming engineering teams into AI-augmented, lean engineering functions.
• 10+ years of full-stack engineering experience with strong skills in Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI) and React.
• Extensive experience with complex integrations such as social media APIs, third-party data providers, and webhook-driven architectures.
• Experience with large-scale data platforms, search infrastructure, and performance optimization.
• Daily production use of AI development tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS, serving large clients with SLA expectations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in building and leading engineering teams, assessing talent, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience as an interim/fractional CTO or Head of Engineering in a startup or scale-up.
• Background in martech, adtech, influencer/creator platforms, or social media tooling.
• Experience managing globally distributed teams across the UK, US, and/or Asia-Pacific.
