ArcRemote

UX / UI Engineer - PT Freelance - Worldwide

Project-Based

Description

We're building the AI operating system for political campaigns. The product is already closing deals and winning elections — now we need the interface to match the intelligence underneath it.

This role owns the interaction layer. You're not adding polish to an existing product. You're defining what campaign-grade AI software feels like.

The Role

You'll work directly with XXXX XXXX (CEO) to design and build the frontend experience across Unmuted's core platform. That includes the donor intelligence dashboard, the AI email agent interface, the candidate intelligence feed, and the mobile-first daily brief. You'll own the UX end-to-end: information architecture, interaction design, and implementation.

You'll work closely with XXXX XXXX (CTO) through a defined API contract. The integration boundary is clearly scoped — your job is to make the AI output feel like a product, not a prototype.

What You'll Build

First 6 weeks

  • Donor universe dashboard — ranked list, segment filters, individual profiles
  • AI email draft interface — review, edit, approve, send in one flow
  • Design system foundation — components, typography, spacing that scales
  • Chat interface for candidate intelligence queries — better than Gemini

Weeks 7–12

  • Generative split-screen — chat left, live scenario rendering right
  • Mobile-first daily brief — 60-second morning intelligence summary
  • Real-time intelligence feed redesign
  • PWA implementation, offline mode, Lighthouse 90+ performance

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 4+ years building production web interfaces
  • Strong React and TypeScript — you write the code, not just the specs
  • Experience deg data-dense dashboards that don't feel overwhelming
  • Eye for detail that shows up in the shipped product, not just Figma
  • Comfortable working in a fast, early- stage environment with minimal process

Strong Plus

  • Experience with AI product interfaces — streaming text, chat UX, live data
  • Mobile-first / PWA development
  • Prior work on political, civic, or enterprise data products
  • Figma for specs + code for execution — you do both
