Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior FastAPI/Python Engineer to spearhead a stabilization sprint for our e-commerce checkout platform. This role involves leading efforts to enhance platform reliability and observability, ensuring seamless operations and a smooth user experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the stabilization sprint, focusing on optimizing the e-commerce checkout platform.
• Debug and resolve production reliability issues to maintain high system performance.
• Improve observability within the platform for better monitoring and issue detection.
• Collaborate effectively with two other engineers, providing guidance and support to unblock their progress.
• Engage in priority setting and task XXXX XXXX ensure timely project delivery.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with FastAPI and Python for backend development.
• Proficiency in working with React for frontend integration.
• Solid understanding of MongoDB for database management.
• Experience with AWS for cloud services and deployment.
• Knowledge of Shopify/Whop integrations for e-commerce solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for debugging production issues.
• Ability to work with at least 4+ hours overlap in US Eastern time zone.

Nice to Have

• Experience with leading stabilization sprints or similar high-stakes projects.
• Familiarity with modern observability tools and practices.
