Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ruby on Rails Shopify App Developer to join our team on a full-time freelance basis. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our Shopify application, leveraging your expertise in both backend and frontend technologies. This position offers the opportunity to work on a global scale, contributing to the continuous improvement of our app's performance and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the existing Shopify app, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and resolve any technical issues.
• Utilize Ruby on Rails for backend development, ensuring robust and scalable application architecture.
• Employ PostgreSQL, Redis, and Sidekiq for efficient data management and processing.
• Implement frontend solutions using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind, ensuring seamless integration with Shopify's APIs.
• Utilize Shopify-specific technologies such as Liquid, Polaris, and App Bridge to enhance the app's functionality.
• Manage development tools including Node, Git, Docker, and Yarn to streamline the development process.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails for backend development.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Sidekiq for data handling and processing.
• Knowledge of Shopify GraphQL for API integration.
• Strong skills in React, TypeScript, and Tailwind for frontend development.
• Familiarity with Liquid, Shopify Polaris, and App Bridge for Shopify app enhancement.
• Competence in development tools like Node, Git, Docker, and Yarn.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD processes to enhance deployment efficiency.
• Familiarity with Heroku for application hosting and management.
• Knowledge of RSpec and testing methodologies to ensure code quality.
