Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer to enhance the reliability and performance of our production Flutter/PHP/MySQL marketplace, which experiences burst traffic. Your primary focus will be on fortifying system resilience and optimizing existing functionalities without undertaking a complete system rewrite.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage idempotency to ensure reliable and repeatable operations.
• Optimize database performance through tuning and adjustments to handle increased traffic efficiently.
• Develop and maintain robust queuing systems to manage workloads effectively during peak times.
• Enhance the payment processing systems to ensure secure and reliable transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues promptly.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Flutter for app development.
• Proficiency in PHP for backend development.
• Strong expertise in MySQL for database management and optimization.
• Proven track record in handling burst traffic and scaling applications.
• Familiarity with idempotency and queuing systems in software applications.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with marketplace platforms.
• Previous exposure to payment processing systems.
• Ability to work with teams across different time zones, especially with an EST overlap.
