As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design and implement backend services, lead architectural decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior developers. You will take ownership of complex tasks, manage project flows within your squad, and bring strong technical opinions and architectural insights.

The role requires excellent multitasking skills, strong context-switching ability, and a proactive, mission-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices. Lead and participate in architectural planning, proposing high-quality solutions and improvements. Work closely with product, frontend, DevOps, and data teams to deliver end-to-end features. Break down complex tasks, manage project execution within the team, and ensure on-time delivery. Mentor junior engineers and support onboarding of new team members. Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following industry best practices. Develop integrations with various internal and external systems using diverse interface protocols. Maintain ownership of features from design through deployment and ongoing operation.Requirements: 5+ years of backend development experience Strong proficiency in High-Level language Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL) Experience with queue brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, etc.) Experience working with distributed systems or microservices architectures Solid understanding of REST API design principles Highly versatile and adaptive engineer (ninja mindset) able to multitask, switch context smoothly, and quickly master new technologies. Proactive and goal-driven, who takes ownership, drives initiatives, and ensures project completion. Strong coordination abilities, capable of distributing tasks within a team and guiding execution. Effective mentor, supporting growth and onboarding of junior engineers. Independent and self-sufficient, while also an excellent team collaborator. Experienced with multiple architectures, capable of evaluating system design choices and forming informed technical opinions.
