ERP Application Support Lead

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team and take ownership of critical system support and operational excellence. This role is primarily hands-on and operational, with a strong focus on resolving daily system issues, supporting users, and ensuring system stability. The role involves close collaboration with both business stakeholders and technical teams to maintain system performance, improve processes, and support ongoing system enhancements. The ERP Application Support Lead plays a critical role in strengthening system reliability, reducing operational dependencies, and ensuring seamless data flow across integrated platforms.

  • Monitor and maintain the daily operations of D365 F&O and related systems (e.g. Exflow, Data Capture, integrations).

  • Act as the first point of contact for system issues and user support.

  • Troubleshot transactional issues (e.g. payments, batch jobs, integrations).

  • Investigate system errors and coordinate resolution across teams.

  • Manage incidents from identification through to resolution.

  • Perform root cause analysis and document findings.

  • Escalate issues when necessary and ensure timely follow-up.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot integration failures.

  • Ensure data flows accurately and reliably across systems.

  • Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to resolve integration issues.

  • Support environment-related activities (e.g. UAT refreshes, configuration updates following defined processes).

  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions across systems.

  • Coordinate bi-annual service updates, including testing, validation, and communication.

  • Ensure readiness and alignment across business and system stakeholders.

  • Maintain system documentation, troubleshooting guides, and access records.

  • Document known issues and their resolutions.

  • Support knowledge sharing and transfer across teams.

  • Coordinate communication with external vendors related to D365 F&O and system integrations.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements. Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

  • A University degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Experience working with Dynamics 365 F&O or similar ERP systems (e.g. Business Central).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Ability to understand system flows and trace transactions.

  • Experience supporting business users in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic understanding of integrations and data flows.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience with Exflow AP, Data Capture, or banking integrations, as well as knowledge of APIs and data integrations (e.g. XML), is preferred.

  • Understanding of finance processes (AP, banking, inventory) and familiarity with Azure / DevOps environments are preferred.

  • Proven hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving ERP system issues in a live environment.
