Automotive Manufacturing GTM Lead

Description

Apply for this job

We are Industry X—Accenture’s engine for transforming how the world designs, engineers, manufactures, and operates products. Our teams help global automotive leaders modernize and digitize their operations using advanced technologies such as digital twin, MES/PLM platforms, automation, AI, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

We enable automotive OEMs and suppliers to build resilient, scalable, and intelligent production ecosystems.

THE PRACTICE

This role sits within the Netherlands and Nordics Industry Xteam. GTM leaders work alongside account teams, delivery organizations, and partner ecosystems to originate, shape, and convert high‑value transformation opportunities across automotive and mobility industries.

We are seeking a Senior Manager / Director‑level Automotive Manufacturing GTM Lead to accelerate growth across our digital manufacturing solutions portfolio. This role focuses on the full spectrum of the automotive industry:

Passenger car OEMs (ICE & EV)

Passenger car OEMs (ICE & EV)

Commercial vehicle OEMs (heavy‑duty trucks, medium‑duty trucks, light commercial vehicles, buses)

Tier‑1 suppliers supporting both segments

Tier‑1 suppliers supporting both segments

You will originate and shape large-scale transformation programs involving smart factory modernization, MES/MOM implementation, digital thread/PLM programs, digital twin, intelligent quality, and software-defined manufacturing initiatives tailored to the unique needs of both passenger and commercial vehicle industries.

Key Responsibilities

GTM Strategy & Sales Origination

Originate and shape automotive manufacturing transformation opportunities—targeting OEMs and suppliers across passenger cars, trucks, and buses—to drive $30–$40M+ annual sourced pipeline.

Identify white‑space and growth opportunities in emerging areas such as EV truck platforms, battery assembly lines for buses, and flexible multi‑model passenger vehicle production.

Create customized pursuit strategies aligned to industry-specific challenges such as regulatory compliance, multi‑variant complexity, uptime and durability requirements for commercial vehicles, and EV adoption curves.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and IT/OT in both passenger and commercial vehicle organizations.

Deliver compelling solution narratives that address domain‑specific pain points—e.g., high‑volume production optimization for passenger cars and high‑durability, low‑volume, configurable manufacturing for trucks and buses.

Influence early-stage opportunities and collaborate with Client Account Leads to build long‑term, strategic account growth.

Offerings & Solution Shaping

Shape opportunities that address the differentiated needs of each segment:

  • Passenger Cars: High-volume automation, launch readiness, in‑line quality, EV platforms, software-defined manufacturing.
  • Commercial Vehicles & Buses: Low/medium-volume flexible production, customization-at-scale, predictive maintenance, connected fleet feedback loops.

Passenger Cars: High-volume automation, launch readiness, in‑line quality, EV platforms, software-defined manufacturing.

Commercial Vehicles & Buses: Low/medium-volume flexible production, customization-at-scale, predictive maintenance, connected fleet feedback loops.

Lead integrated solution shaping across PLM, MES/MOM, digital twin, virtual manufacturing, industrial IoT, and intelligent quality.

Pursuit Leadership & Deal Progression

Guide the end-to-end pursuit lifecycle, from qualification through discovery, solutioning, proposals, and orals.

Drive deal structuring that aligns with the operational realities of both passenger car and commercial vehicle customers.

Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver winning proposals.

Ecosystem Partner Collaboration

Work closely with ecosystem partners such as Siemens, Dassault, PTC, Rockwell, SAP, and hyperscalers to develop solutions relevant to both automotive sectors.

Build co‑sell strategies targeting OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers across cars, trucks, and buses.

Thought Leadership & Market Presence

Represent Accenture at automotive manufacturing events—spanning passenger vehicle, commercial vehicle, and bus industry forums.

Develop thought leadership materials that reflect the differing innovation curves across these sectors (e.g., EV adoption rates, autonomy integration, connected fleet services).

Contribute internally to GTM playbooks and capability enablement.

Basic Qualifications

12+ years of experience selling or delivering engineering and manufacturing transformation programs with a consulting/SI firm.

Proven track record in originating and progressing complex opportunities into RFP cycles across passenger vehicleand/or commercial vehicle manufacturers.

Strong domain expertise in at least one of the following:

  • MES/MOM transformation
  • PLM/digital thread programs
  • Smart factory/digital twin initiatives

Strong understanding of core manufacturing processes spanning both high‑volume (passenger car) and low‑volume configurable (truck and bus) environments.

Bonus Points If You Have

Direct experience working with global passenger car OEMs and commercial vehicle OEMs (e.g., trucks, buses, vans, coaches).

Experience supporting EV transitions in both passenger and commercial fleets.

Knowledge of homologation, regulatory, and quality standards unique to commercial vehicles and buses.

Familiarity with integrating OT/IT layers across multi‑plant networks serving diverse vehicle platforms.

Strong client storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messaging to each segment.
